Recreating my old nail art

It’s time to change my nails again.
When did I do it last time? Let’s see… 12th May. My nails have lasted for 4 weeks in this season. That’s quite impressive, actually!

This time I wanted to do something easy. I was going through the old pictures of my nail art archives, and I decided to recreate one of the design I’ve done in 2015.

Please bear with me for this rough image. I learned myself how to edit pictures about a year ago. All I’ve ever done before that time was just resizing photos and put watermarks on them.

And this is the recreated version.

The colors turned out to be lighter than 2015’s. That’s probably because I used more opaque white nail polish as the base color in 2015. Except that, the all nail polishes I used for this look are the same.

I like this design because it reminds me of my childhood favorite characters, ‘Little Twin Stars’ aka キキララ (“Kiki Lala”) by Sanrio.
The color combinations have this dreamy feeling just like ‘Little Twin Stars’.

Let’s take a look what I used:

(From left to right.)
•SinfulColors ‘Cinderella’
•Essie ‘Limo Scene’ (One of my all time favorite nail polish to use as a base for nail arts. It’s quite sheer, so you need to build it up. I put 3 coats usually.)
•OPI ‘Sheer Tints’ (It says “color-tinted top coats”, but I don’t recommend them as top coats, for they’re very thick. I made mine thinner when I used them for the first time.)
•KOSÉ Cosmetics, Fine Nail EX in ‘SP 003’ (This one is a Japanese brand. I bought it about a decade ago(!!), so it’s discontinued but I still can use it by adding thinner into it.)

(Disclaimer: The links above and below are mainly to be able to see the colors and how they look like in their packages in case you’d like to purchase. By placing order through these links, I gain no profit. Some colors are unfortunately discontinued. I did my best to find websites where you can buy when it’s still available, however the colors might be sold out by the time you read this.)

Did you also like ‘Little Twin Stars’ when you were small?

Have a wonderful day!

Love,
Ayako
