Hello 2018!

Happy 2018!
Can you believe that it’s already the 2nd week of 2018? I hope things have been great with you. How’s 2018 treating you so far?

I spent a quiet and laid back New Year’s Eve with just two of us (meaning, me and my boyfriend). We spent pretty much whole day in our pajamas.
We watched “Tokyo Godfathers” around midnight. Just before the midnight, we started counting down and had a glass of champagne. Even though I don’t drink alcohol (well, it’s more like I can’t drink), I do like the looks of champagne in a champagne glass. The color and tiny bubbles make me feel cheerful somehow.
I just wish I could enjoy drinking even a bit more. Or, at least not looking too obvious that I had alcohol… My whole face turns to red/pink when I drink or have a sip of alcohol. There are so many people who can’t even tell if they are drunk. How do they do that!?
I have to tell you that I don’t look cute at all. The skin around my eyes gets red and so are my eye balls. Not cute! I’m so much like my dad. Haha.

On the New Year, we had another nice and easy day at home.
I called my family in Japan to say happy new year. I’m glad to know that they were having great days.
After I finished setting up my 2018 bullet journal just in time (phew!), my boyfriend suggested me to watch a movie together. He didn’t tell me what it was, but when I saw the characters on the screen, I almost screamed with an excitement!
It was an anime movie based on a manga called “Saint☆Oniisan”. I’ve been very curious about the manga, but I’ve completely forgotten about it because it’s quite a while ago when I heard about its good reputations.
I enjoyed the whole movie so much. I laughed so hard and it made me even cry a little.
It’s a comedy about a life of two best friends and room mates, Buddha and Jesus Christ spending their “vacation” together in Tokyo. (Yes, I know. It might be quite sensitive topic to deal with. Many Christians who warship their Lord might be pissed off… I think the concept of manga made possible because it’s by a Japanese author for Japanese readers.)
It might be something you like and enjoy, too. Who knows?

Anyway, 2018 has been great to me so far. I spent my 1st day of 2018 laughing my ass off (pardon my language), which was pretty awesome!
I’ve been keeping up with my new habits I want to build this year like, meditation, exercise, massage, and taking vitamin. (I have to confess. I failed to meditate after I had a health issue in the last summer.)
I don’t know where 2018 will take me, but I have good feelings that this year is going to be amazing and so much better than 2017! Do I feel this way because it’s the year of dog, which is my year? My bf is 12 younger than me (What!? I know!) and that makes him also a dog, but I don’t think he is this excited. :p

I hope that 2018 will bring you lots and lots of love, joy, and laughter!
This year has just started. There are many possibilities. Isn’t it exciting?
Let’s make the most of 2018!

Talk to you soon!

Love,
Ayako
